Free parking in the Milldown Car Park, Maple Tree Close, Blandford Forum, DT11 7SH. Best to approach Blandford on the A350 from Yeovil, then the B3082. Turn left into Maple Tree Close off the B3082 opposite Milldown Academy. Proceed over the bridge to the car parking area on the left. No facilities at the start. ROUTE NOTES: There are lengthy but gentle off-road sections on the Castleman Trailway (NCN256) either side of Ringwood between miles 17 and 23. There is also a short off-road section mainly on gravel at mile 39 where the route passes underneath the A31.
