Time trial results June 21st

It was a glorious evening for our second venture out onto the A303. The warm evening and light winds made for some fast times. Just as well as the contractors started closing the A303 well ahead of the scheduled 8pm closure!

Irina set a new pb, being her longstanding time set in her late teens. She shaved several seconds of her previous best time and was over 3 minutes quicker on this 10 course than last week’s.

Fastest was Mark Brock (Somerset RC), just creeping into the 21 minute bracket. Closely followed by Justin Dance, our own Nick Cooper and Giles White all with a 22 minute time.

The fine weather also tempted out a few old friends that we haven’t seen for a while. Great to catch up, whether they were riding or not.

Back to the Marston Magna 10 next week. We have been requested to use the main car park at the HQ from now on, not the small one on the left as you enter the base. Keep driving past the HQ building and then take the left before the security gate, it will loop you back round into the main parking area. Thanks
